FITUR 2018

Within the framework of FITUR 2018, Fundación para el Conocimiento Madri+d will organize an international transfer technology day to exchange information between possible technological partners.

FITUR is a global meeting point for tourism professionals and the leading trade fair for inbound and outbound Ibero American markets.

Company Mission in the frame of Ukrainian-Italian business forum

On January 30, 2018, the Ukrainian-Italian high-level Business Forum will take place in the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the framework of the official visit of the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic - Angelino Alfano. The event will be provided with the participation of foreign ministers of Ukraine and Italy. The Italian side is interested in sending the delegations to the Forum which includes government officials, senior government agencies, and associations, as well as Italian companies. Company mission will be on the next day on 31/01/2018. There are few co-organizers of the event: the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce an Industry and the Embassy of the Italian Republic in Ukraine with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Funding of industry/market oriented cross-border research and innovation projects: IraSME & CORNET Partnering Event in Aachen (Germany, Campus of RWTH), 31 January 2018

The German Federation of Industrial Research Associations (AiF), ZENIT and the Enterprise Europe Network of the European Commission cordially invite technology and innovation oriented companies and institutes to the free event on the funding initiatives IraSME, CORNET and ZIM International (EUREKA).

Participants get the chance to:
• receive first-hand information about funding criteria and a first evaluation of ideas directly from the programme officers,
• present their organisation and project idea to attract partners in pitch-sessions,
• initiate contacts with potential commercial and technological partners in advance in an online matchmaking,

International Business Forum in Cahul, Republic of Moldova

The Enterprise Europe Network at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova announces the organization of an International Business Forum on February 1st, 2018, in Cahul municipality, Republic of Moldova.

The event will be organized in the framework of the XVII-th edition of the National Exhibition "MADE IN MOLDOVA", which will take place from January 31st to February 4th, 2018, in Chisinau municipality. "Made in Moldova" is the most important exhibition in Moldova, organized annually by the Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has as main objectives to promote the local products and services by highlighting their competitiveness and to identify new opportunities for creating sustainable business partnerships.

The International Business Forum in Cahul intends to be an important platform for encouraging commercial and economic relations and establishing business partnerships between Moldovan companies and the countries of the Danube region, the Black Sea basin, the European Union, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), CEFTA region, etc.

Following the successful results from past years missions, the EU-Japan Centre, Enterprise Europe Network representative for Japan, is organising again a cluster match-making mission in the nanotechnology sector.

This mission aimed to support EU cluster organisations and their SME members in their efforts to access global value chains and develop strategic worldwide partnerships and business cooperation.

The Nanotech Cluster/SME mission coincides with the “nano tech - International Nanotechnology Exhibition and Conference” in Tokyo (http://www.nanotechexpo.jp/). During the fair (3 days) participants will attend showcase sessions and B2B meetings and meet with Japanese visitors.

The overall objective of the EU-Indonesia Business Network (EIBN) is to work towards the enhancement of exports and investments of the EU to Indonesia, particularly by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Organic food mission in Japan for EU SMEs

The EU-Japan Centre (EEN Japan representative) is organising a trade mission to Japan for EU Small and Medium Sized companies operating in the organic food sector.

ABOUT THE MISSION

This 5-day mission will focus on the organics sector (primarily processed food and drinks, but also raw ingredients) and will include a 1-day orientation session and lectures in Tokyo and 4-day (free) exhibition space at the FOODEX JAPAN 2018 that will take place in Chiba, Japan in March. (http://www.jma.or.jp/foodex/en/index.html).

There are 8 places on this mission (with a maximum of one representative per company). To ensure their visibility at the trade fair, each company will have space to exhibit in the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation’s booth.

Professional interpreters will be on hand during the trade fair to help you communicate with potential Japanese business partners. Based on materials you provide, the EU-Japan Centre will arrange Japanese-language posters to promote your product at the EU-Japan Centre’s booth.

Prior to the mission an online pre-departure briefing will be organised to enable participants to prepare for the mission and their communication with future Japanese potential partners.

As a participant to this mission you will:
•Exhibit at FOODEX JAPAN, Asia's largest exhibition dedicated to food and drink
•Gain knowledge about the targeted market structure, sector analysis, business policy

All participants cover their travel costs to and from Japan as well as living expenses in Japan, including accommodation. The transfer of any additional equipment to the fair will be at participant's cost.

ELIGIBILITY

The candidate must:
•be a citizen of an EU Member State or of a COSME partnering country
•work for a Small or Medium-Sized company that is > 50% EU (or COSME partnering country) owned
•work for an organisation that is an EU (or COSME partnering country) juridical person
•have a product certified with the EU organic logo (for applicants from COSME partnering country only – the product must confirm with the Organic JAS label)
•be supported by his/her employer
•be able to participate in the entire programme
•have a good command of English

Sicindustria, commercial partner of Enterprise Europe Network will be involved in the organization of an educational tour between Palermo and Taormina for a group of 27 Chinese tourism operators and 4 journalists.

Tour d'Europe during the fine food fair Tavola: bridge between European Food & beverage buyers and producers

Tavola is the meeting point of all professionals of the fine food sector. The fair, organised from 11th March till 13th March 2018, has a leading position as the exclusive business forum for the retail food sector and the large catering organisations.

The access to the fair is strictly limited to a professional public.

An international matchmaking event (Tour d'Europe) will be organized during Tavola.

Tour d’Europe is an unique opportunity for European buyers to meet food & drink producers. The event will organise face-to-face buyer-producer meetings based on specific requests from the buyers. 6th Biopesticide matchmaking event

This will be the 6th Greenwich Biopesticides Event organised by the Enterprise Europe Network SE UK and the European Centre for Integrated Pest Management (at the Natural Resources Institute, University of Greenwich).

The day is aimed at IPM/Biopesticide technology stakeholders; researchers and suppliers of current and new technologies, manufacturers, regulatory and government organisations/groups and of course the farmer and grower communities who are required to use Integrated Pest Management principles and methodologies.

The network forum encourages and facilitates delegates to establish linkages with other players in the sector to identify gaps and barriers and seize opportunities to collaborate as the pressures increase to reduce reliance on chemical usage.

The event, for which attendance in free, will follow the previously established format, which begins with a mix of plenary presentations by invited speakers and several ten minute commercial 'pitch' presentations from companies or researchers. These talks are followed by a brokerage session where delegates can participate in 1-to-1 pre-planned meetings aimed at future collaborations.

Earth observation and Copernicus – the European Copernicus Programme entered its operational phase with the launch of the first Sentinel satellite in 2014. Company mission of Polish companies from metal processing sector to Hannover, Germany

This company mission is a tailor-made product designed for the Metal Processing Cluster – one of 16 national key clusters in Poland. It is based on bottom-up approach. The term and direction of the mission were established on the basis of the needs analysis conducted among members of the cluster. To boost also regional business coopereation the mission is open for other companies from metal processing sector.

These companies are going to visit Germany to establish new business connections with the entrepreneurs and companies from this country and from all over the world. This objective will be achieved by visiting HANNOVER MESSE and participating in B2B brokerage meetings within this trade fair. Moreover study visits in advanced German companies will be ensured to boost technology transfer.

Who can register?
The company mission was prepared mainly for members of the Metal Processing Cluster – one of 16 key national clusters in Poland. This institution is coorganiser of the mission and ensures recruitment of companies. Companies from the cluster act actively on the market and are experienced in international cooperation. The registration is open also for other companies from the region active in the field of metal processing. The companies shall bear in mind that the buyers (companies willing to buy from foreign enterprises) will be given priority in the registration.

Metal processing sector is targeted within this mission.

Polish companies willing to participate in the outgoing mission shall contact the Metal Processing Cluster or the Podlaska Regional Development Foundation.

ICT Cluster and SME Mission 2018

The EU-Japan Centre, Enterprise Europe Network representative for Japan, is organising, for the third time, a cluster match-making mission in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector.

This mission aimed to support EU cluster organisations and their SME members in their efforts to access global value chains and develop strategic worldwide partnerships and business cooperation.

The ICT Cluster/SME mission coincides with the Spring's "Japan IT Week" trade fair in Chiba (http://www.japan-it.jp/en/). During the fair (3 days) participants will attend showcase sessions and B2B meetings and meet with Japanese visitors.

In order to maximize participants' partnering opportuni­ties, participants will be able to exhibit in the EU Delegation booth.

A month before the mission, an online pre-departure briefing will be held to prepare for the mission to ensure participants get the most out of it.

Enterprise Europe Network Jönköping in Sweden is hosting the B2Bmatchmaking event at Free From Functional Food expo in Stockholm 16th-17th of May. The matchmaking event will be a great opportunity for both buyers and suppliers to meet potential partners for business, research or technological collaboration in pre-selected B2B-meetings at the trade fair. It is also a great opportunity to find out more about the world of Free From Foods, beverages, health and nutrition.

This European forum jointly organised by the European Commission and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region aims at promoting defence and dual-use technologies in the maritime field. It will bring together high-level European defence and dual-use experts, public authorities, clusters and companies.

The event aims to :
- raise awareness among public and private economic stakeholders about the potential of dual-use technologies for the European maritime sector;
- present the opportunities for EU funding in the area of dual-use and defence as well as cooperation between civil and military stakeholders;

Global Renewable Energy Supply Chain Conference and Brokerage Event

The event will focus on international opportunities available to businesses supplying the rapidly growing renewable energy sector. It will focus on showcasing the Liverpool City Region (LCR) as a hub for innovative businesses servicing the global renewable energy supply chain and provide international commercial, technology and R&D collaboration opportunities.

The event will explore how international organisations can take advantage of the best practice, skills and opportunities the LCR offers. The event will be split into two sections. During the morning, there will be a plenary session which will include keynote speakers from the renewable energy sector. During the afternoon, there will be a brokerage/matchmaking session where delegates will participate in pre-arranged 1-2-1 meetings to explore potential technological, commercial and R&D cooperation opportunities. This session will also including meet the buyer and investor areas. There will also be opportunities for visitors to participate in site visits to best practice renewable energy operations located in the North West UK.

Globally the renewable energy sector is young and rapidly growing with sales in the supply chain exceeding £1.68 trillion and forecasted to grow by 47.6% by 2021/22. The UK’s market share represents £55.7 billion and is forecasted to grow by 59.9% by 2021/22 (K-Matrix, 2016). A study commissioned by Enworks in 2013 mapped the low carbon and environmental goods and services sector in the LCR to consist of 1,200+ companies employing 22,000 people, with sales of over £2.7 billion per year and a growth rate of 4.9%. The report also identified that LCR is home to high growth market industries that can support increased renewable energy generation. This coupled with the recent investment from Dong Energy into the Burbo Bank Offshore Wind Farm (off the coast of Wallasey) places Liverpool as a leading region in the development of renewable energy solutions in the UK and Europe.

Get Ready for Japan - 2018

The 2-week ‘Get Ready for Japan’ training programme offers EU managers the unique opportunity to experience and understand both the cultural and economic elements which define and explain Japan's business and technological achievements. Continuously improved to meet the latest expectations about business in Japan, the Get Ready for Japan provides EU businessmen with a professional Japan-related expertise.

It is focused on business management and consists of a combination of lectures, case studies, role plays and company visits. This is designed to help participants become thoroughly informed about the actual conditions of Japanese business through practical analysis and research. Participants will have the opportunity to take part to negotiation role-play exercises and discuss with Japanese managers about decision-making, team management methods in Japan.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

Typical participants:
- have a major role in defining and implementing their companies’ policies vis-à-vis Japan,
- are to be transferred to Japan,
- come from companies intending to supply Japanese companies,
- wish to learn about management practices and technological developments in Japan.

In order to ensure a high degree of personal attention, the number of participants in each programme is limited and therefore a selection process will be held between all the received candidatures by the deadline.

There is no tuition fee for EU SMEs; participants are expected to cover their flight to/from Japan, hotel and living expenses.

A grant from the European Commission up to €1200 is available for EU SMEs that are selected for the programme to help cover the costs.
